Landslide

Thursday, April 21, 2011
Today, the featured song will be "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac.  I love this song a lot.  It was on an episode of Glee (my favourite TV show) and I loved it so much and I love the original version as well.

Took this love and I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
And can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
Oh oh I don't know, oh I don't know
Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older I'm getting older too
Yes I'm getting older too, so
I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I, I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older too oh yes
I'm getting older too
So, take this love, take it down
Oh if you climb a mountain and you turn around
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring you down, down
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well maybe the landslide will bring you down
Well well, the landslide will bring you down
(I love the PS22 choir!  They are awesome!)

I hope you enjoy this song and the multiple videos for it!

Glee Review: Season 2, Episode 17: A Night Of Neglect

Wednesday, April 21, 2011
This is a new feature I am adding to the blog, it is a weekly Glee review, and it will be on the Wednesday after the episode premieres.  Glee just came back from a few weeks of break, and I personally don't think that this was the best way to come back from that.  The episode was okay, but it wasn't one of the best, it was just kind of average.  Since they were just on break, I was expecting something a bit more exciting.
Mercedes was acting all "diva" like, with Lauren Zizes as her manager, which was just kind of weird.  I guess she just wanted some attention because Rachel gets it all, but it was a strange thing to have in the episode, really random.  I really wonder why she never gets solos too, she is so amazing!

Charice was back as Sunshine and she did an amazing performance of All By Myself, but I was dissapointed when she didn't perform in the concert, it was just sad.  I wish she hadn't done that.

The Glee Club was organizing a concert, called A Night Of Neglect to raise money for their trip to Nationals and the Braniacs (Tina, Mike, Artie and Brittany)'s trip to Detroit.  They only performed songs by neglected artists, which I thought was weird because if you wanted people to come, wouldn't you perform songs that they know and like, not ones that they don't know?

When Tina performed I Follow Rivers by Lykke Li, it was awful because the audience was only six people, and four of them were the "Heckler" club, organized by Sue to yell at the performers so she ran off the stage crying.  I felt bad because she was actually pretty good.

Mike danced to Bubble Toes, and he was awesome because they stopped the Hecklers so he danced awesomely, as usual!

Holly performed Turning Tables by Adele and she was amazing, I fell in love with the song.  She got a job in Cleveland so she broke up with Will.  That made me sad, but now he can be with Emma!

Mercedes performed the final number, 'Aint No Way by Aretha Franklin and she rocked it!  Mercedes is so talented that Sandy donated money to fund the Braniac's trip, so it was a happy ending!  Yay!

So, this episode was not a bad episode, but it also wasn't great.  I liked it and it satisfied my Glee craving I have been having since Regionals, so that's good.  I can't wait until next week's episode because Kurt is coming back to McKinley!!!!! YAY!!!

I Wouldn't Have Nothing If I Didn't Have You

Wednesday, April 20, 2011
So, this week I will tell you about my love for Monster's Inc.  It is amazing!!!!  It was one of my favourite Disney movies from when I was a little kid.  It is great!  I love how it is funny at parts, sad at some and just plain awesome at others.  It is an awesome movie, if you haven't seen it yet, go see it NOW!!!!

It is another amazing Disney Pixar film that I will always love, and so will the rest of the world.  My favourite is Boo, she is so cute, but I also love Mike, Sully and the Abominable Snowman, because he is so funny and random.  I hope you watch this and enjoy it as much as I do!

Here's a song from the movie with Sully and Mike!

What movies do you love?
Comment your favourites and if I love them too I might write a post about it!

Forever In Blue Jeans

Tuesday, April 19, 2011
Today is Trendy Tuesday, and today's trend is of course the most major necessity in my closet.....JEANS!!!  I love my jeans, they are my favourite type of pants.

Jeans come in many different sizes, styles, and colours, so pretty much anyone wtih legs can wear them!  That is why I love them the most!  Everyone can wear jeans, no matter what size or shape they are and no matter what colour and style they prefer.

(I personally enjoy how each person in this picture has a pair of Converse to match their jeans, that would be the coolest thing ever)

I personally enjoy bootcut jeans, a slightly lighter shade of blue.  Especially the Chelsea Bootcut style from Aeropostale, I have about two or three pairs of them (and they are all the same colour).  I like to mix things up a little bit, haha, not really.

Cross My Heart And Hope To Die

Monday, April 18, 2011
The featured artist of the week today is Marianas Trench!  Yay!  I love them so much!  They are so talented and their music is a variety of different stuff.  Some is fun, some is great for rocking out to, some is emotional and some is about really serious isssues.  They are really great!

I discovered this band last year and I fell in love with the band and their music.  The band is a group of hilarious guys, they are actually so funny!  Their music is written by the band and the mixture of different types of music makes it enjoyable to listen to their music at any time.

The last few songs (from Alibis down) are all about really serious issues that the lead singer of the band (Josh Ramsay) had to deal with when he was a teenager.  Some are about his bulimia, an eating disorder where you throw up everything you eat (e.g. Alibis, Feeling Small, Skin and Bones) and some are about his addiction to heroin, a very addictive drug (e.g. Lover Dearest, Primetime, Push).  I find it really inspiring that Josh would write about these things, because it shows us what it's like and that people can overcome it, just like he did after he went to rehab.

I suggest that you look up some videos on Youtube of the band in concert because some of them are really funny, like the ones where Josh is telling stories and saying funny things.  This can entertain you for an entire afternoon; trust me, I've done it.

Don't Worry, Be Happy

Sunday, April 17, 2011
One thing about me that you might be interested to know is that I am a worrier.  I worry about everything, the important things, the non-important things, the future, the present and just about anything else.  I worry way too much, which causes me to be stressed out and bite my nails.  That is a really bad habbit that I want to stop, but my efforts don't seem to be working because my nails are kind of non existent.

I know that it isn't good to worry so much, but if I don't I feel like all the things I was worried about will actually happen and I just really want everything to turn out the way I want it to.  I don't the fact that I don't actually know how my future will turn out and I also don't like not knowing what people actually think of me.  I really need to stop this, so I have recently decided I will try and worry less, but we'll see how this turns out.
Enjoy your stress and worry-free life!

I'm Alone In The Universe

Saturday, April 16, 2011
This Saturday, I will be writing a poem about myself.  I call it "All Alone And All By Myself".

I'm all alone
Alone in the world
Alone in the universe
Nobody to love
Nobody to hold
Alone
All by myself
All alone
No love
No romance
Just loneliness
Just sadness
Why is this?
Because
I am unloved
And alone
I am unpopular
And alone
I have friends
But I still feel so
Alone
All by myself
I just want to be
Loved
And happy
I wish...
For love
And to stop
Being so
Alone
All by myself

I hope that you will all be loved and not alone just like I will be, eventually in my life...hopefully soon.
Enjoy your stress-free life!

We Are The World

Friday, April 15, 2011
Something that I think is beautiful this Friday is when people come together to help others in need.
There are times when we need to realize that we are not the only important ones in this world, so it is important to give back to our community and the world and help others who need it.  Not everyone realizes this, but helping those in need can be anything from helping an elderly man or woman across the street, to volunteering for a local charity to gathering a group of artists to sing a song about helping others and giving all the money it makes to a country in need.

These videos are of great artists who came together to make great songs for countries in need and raised millions of dollars.

So, I hope that this Beautiful Friday has been as much as an inspiration to you as it has been to me.  I hope that we will one day be able to all come together to help make the world a better place.

Enjoy your stress-free life!

Everything I Do, I Do It For You

Thursday, April 14, 2011
This week on Lyric Thursday, the song featured will be (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, by Bryan Adams, a Canadian rock musician.  This song is really beautiful.  I hope you enjoy it.

Look into my eyes - you will see
What you mean to me
Search your heart - search your soul
And when you find me there you'll search no more
Don't tell me it's not worth tryin' for
You can't tell me it's not worth dyin' for
You know it's true
Everything I do - I do it for you
Look into your heart - you will find
There's nothin' there to hide
Take me as I am - take my life
I would give it all - I would sacrifice
Don't tell me it's not worth fightin' for
I can't help it - there's nothin' I want more
You know it's true
Everything I do - I do it for you
There's no love - like your love
And no other - could give more love
There's nowhere - unless you're there
All the time - all the way
Oh - you can't tell me it's not worth tryin' for
I can't help it - there's nothin' I want more
I would fight for you - I'd lie for you
Walk the wire for you - ya I'd die for you
You know it's true
Everything I do - I do it for you

This song perfectly describes the way I feel when I'm in love, and I have been in love a few times.  I do everything for them, thinking that it will make them love me back but it doesn't.  But, I'm so in love it feels like it's all worth it and will work out in the end.  At the moment, I am not in love, but I remember very clearly that at this time last year, I would probably be thinking about the guy I liked, because that was all I could think about.  I blocked out all the bad parts of him and thought he was perfect.  I realize now how blind I was; I guess it really is true that love is blind!

(Search the music video on Youtube as well as listen to this song now, it is really good, it wouldn't let me upload it though)

Enjoy Bryan Adams' beautiful music and your stress-free life!
