It's MUSIC MONDAY!!!! My favourite day of the week!  Today, my artist of the day is the greatest band to have ever existed and will always be the greatest band of all time, THE BEATLES!!!! Yay!!!  The Beatles will always be my favourite band and that is one thing that will never ever change.

The Beatles changed rock music forever and will always be remembered as rock legends.  The band composed of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.  They came out in the 1960's and they were huge, everyone knew who they were.  They even caused Beatlemania, a period of time where they were super-popular with lots of crazy fans. They recorded over 200 songs, most of them written themselves (something new at that time).  Paul and John wrote most of the songs, but George wrote a fair number and Ringo wrote a couple.  Eventually, they started fighting because they didn't get along and broke up in about 1970.  John was assassinated in 1980 by Mark Chapman and George died of cancer in 2001, so the only ones still living are Paul and Ringo, who are 70 and 69.

The thing about The Beatles that I think is the most astonishing is the fact that their music is still popular and played today.  Their music is so good that it is still played, decades later.  That is really good, because a lot of the artists of today will not even be around in a few years (like a certain someone named Justin Bieber).  The Beatles music still sounds just as good as in the 1960's, it is timeless, and will probably be listened to forever.

I know you might be a little shocked at how many videos I have posted, but these aren't even half of their songs or even a quarter.  They had so many songs and most of them were hits and are still popular today.
